We have a requirement for a System Administrator (Unix/Linux) for one of our Federal Government clients.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience demonstrated experience wihtin the last 8 years as a Unix/Linux System Administrator
- Completion of Unix System Administrator certification
- Minimum of 2 years of combined demonstrated experience within the last 5 years in configuring, setting up and maintaining a distributed client/server application running over Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) in a router based network environment
- Minimum of 2 years combined experience within the last 8 years in working as a Unix/Linux System Administrator in a PeopleSoft Internet Architecture environment
- Should have:
- Demonstrated experience working with networking devices (switches, routers, firewall appliances, etc).
- Demonstrated experience in set up and configuration of High Availability Cluster servers.
- Experience in planning, configuring, and managing disk storage requirements for Unix/Linux server including the administration of the file system using market available Disk Volume Management software.
- Demonstrated working experience in installing and upgrading patches of Unix/Linux OS and Oracle/ PeopleTools software.
- Demonstrated experience working with virtualization technologies such as VM Ware (ESX Server) or XEN
- Demonstrated experience in developing Linux/Unix scripts.
