Help Desk Specialist

We have immediate requirement for a Help Desk Specialist for one of our Federal Government clients.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Reliability Clearance
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience within the last five (5) years in providing end user support and training as it relates to identifying and resolving PC workstation-related hardware and software issues within an organizational context OR demonstrate successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science or information technology.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience within the last five (5) years in utilizing incident tracking systems to track and update incoming service incidents, from initiation to completion.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience within the last five (5) years in organizing and planning tasks to meet deadlines.

Rated Requirements:
  • Experience in the last two (2) years installing and configuring the following Health Canada standard applications and operating systems: Microsoft XP, Blackberry Desktop Manager, WordPerfect Office 2002, Adobe Acrobat, Internet Explorer and MS Office.
  • Experience in the last two (2) years installing, configuring and supporting the Lotus Notes client using Lotus Notes 6.5.5 or 8 including e-mail, databases, calendaring and shared functionality.
  • Experience in the last two (2) years utilizing Service Centre.
