Web Quality Assurance Analyst

We have a requirement for a Web Quality Assurance Analyst for one of our Federal Government clients.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in web application software and/or program testing.
  • Experience in assessing functional testing tools for appropriateness to an environment and purpose.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle/SQL – to the extent that is required to generate test scripts.
  • MTest case/script development (at least 3 years)
  • Test planning and implementation (at least 3 years)
  • Test automation toolsets (at least 3 years)
  • Bug tracking applications (at least 3 years)
  • Knowledge of testing web applications built on UNIX platform (Solaris 10) and Microsoft Windows (2003) operating systems (mandatory)
  • Testing Java applications (at least three (3) years)
  • Experience testing web services (at least 1 year)
  • Knowledge and experience with Cenzic HailStorm (a clear asset)
  • PCI DSS 6.3-6.5 requirements (mandatory)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to minute detail required
  • Security Clearance - Enhanced Level or a valid Criminal Records Check.

Responsibilities:
  1. Determine the functional testing tool that should be purchased, providing a cost benefit analysis of options.
  2. Perform all testing of the new payment services architecture using the tool.
  3. Test PCI applications that use the new architecture.
  4. Use the tool to create and document automated regression tests for the payment applications and associated infrastructure.

Business Analyst

We have a requirement for a Business Analyst for one of our Federal Government clients.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years in producing business documentation and presentations
  • Intermediate level in MS Word - style sheets, tables, pictures/graphics and dynamic table of contents
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and Ms Visio
  • Minimum 5 years in gathering and documentation of business and functional requirements
  • University degree in Science, Engineering or Information Systems
Rated Requirements:
  • Experience with business writing and presentation development
  • Business process and workflow documentation experience
  • Experience with using information management systems
  • Experience with project management or project coordination
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) from a recognized university
  • Experience at Health Canada, a government health agency or in the health industry (ASSET)
Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and update business requirement documentation showing business objectives, target business processes, functional and non-functional business requirements and use cases necessary to develop, test and deliver the proposed solution or feature enhancements.
  2. Lead and contribute to working groups in the definition, understanding of requirements for any proposed feature enhancements;
  3. Prepare and update work plans showing tasks, schedule, resources and budgets required to successfully build, test and deliver the information systems necessary to meet the defined business objectives and requirements;
  4. Provide advice regarding deployment of resources and priorities to complete project deliverables in a timely fashion;
  5. Provide tactical and operational advice on the understanding, interpretation and fulfilment of the documented business requirements through documents, presentations and briefing notes;
  6. With senior project members, provide advice on the standards and procedures to be used throughout the project;
  7. Manage change requests while respecting commitments to functionality, budget and schedule;

Director of R&D

We have a requirement for a Director of R&D for one of our private sector clients.

Summary:

Lead a .NET agile development/QA team working on current C#-based enterprise products and cloud applications. Responsible to assure the successful execution of business mission/goals through the development and deployment of the products. This requires envisioning the company’s service offerings, leading development efforts and human resources requirement including planning for risk and growth.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing and developing people within an Agile Development
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience using C#, ASP.NET (MVC2), TSQL, PL/SQL, Java and VB6
  • Experience in Web Services, WSDL, SOAP
  • A thorough understanding of XML, the .NET framework and CLR
  • Demonstrated knowledge of creating cloud based SaaS products
  • Familiarity working with TargetProcess, FogBugz and other third-party tools would be an asset
  • Knowledge of Design Patterns
  • Superior Object Oriented development skills
  • Knowledge of Design Patterns
  • Thrive on working with multiple projects concurrently
  • Superior comprehension, communication and technical writing skill
  • An understanding of Government technical environments & general software requirements would be an asset
  • Relevant Post-Secondary Education and/or equivalent work experience.
